July 31st-August 1st, 2010: “Down The Crooked Lane: A Midsummer Magick Faerie Festival”
…being the tale of a young Faire, an ambitious idea, many talented performers, and a sudden dose of wild Fey magic.
or:
“There never was a merry world since the fairies left off dancing. “
-John Selden
And if ever we wanted proof that wild Fey magic is real, we need look no further than our own sudden determination to create this weekend. What possessed us to take our Faire, new and still growing, and make its last weekend into something as complex and mad glorious and wondrous and strange and unusual and sorcerous as a Faerie Festival?
I can’t tell you where the idea came from. But it sprang out full-fledged and we’ve been working on it ever since.
We’d like to create an event that you will love, and that means we’d love to hear from you! Please find us on Facebook - click here – and send your friends our way; we’d love to hear their thoughts, as well!
The fey wonders of the world only exist while there are those with the sight to see them.
- Charles de Lint
Some of the things in store: Songs! Performers of every stripe! Shakespeare! Games! Surprises! Wild revels! Magic! Juggling! A small Labyrinth! A great Hullaballoo! The Seelie, the Unseelie, and the just plain Fey!
Here are just a few of our performers:
Daniel Greenwolf, our resident sorcerer, illusionist, and Bard-About-Town, will dazzle and delight you with his astonishing and nationally-famous magickal derring-do!
Jenna Greene of Greenelady Music, weaver of myth and magic through her beautiful voice, her guitar, and her many songs, will enthrall and delight you.

Matt DeBlass – singer, songwriter, and harpist, he’ll be singing tales of Celtic legend, Fae magick, and yarns of days gone by.
Lilith Lore, storyteller, talespinner, and tale-trickster will bring us old and new retellings of many a tale.
The Shadow Queen of Psyche Corporation will weave fantastic, curious, futuristic stories of the Elf-King’s Hall, and the land where dreams are sold. You can hear her work on this short pictoral video depicting last year’s Midsummer Magick Faire.
We’ve now got much of the event in place, but we’re still looking for friends. Would you like to help it come into being? Get in touch with us.
