The opening weekend of our Faire contains all manner of games and amazing good times. But we’d like to speak briefly about a serious subject.
Isaac Bonewits, author of nine books, sage, mentor, and friend to our motley crew – was the consultant for the first year of our event, and was one of the main inspirations behind this Faire. He is currently fighting a very difficult battle with cancer, with the support of his amazing wife, Phaedra.
We’d like to dedicate part of the first weekend of our event to spreading the word about his fight, and his need for assistance. And we’d like to see if we can help directly. All money that’s contributed below, via ChipIn, will go directly to him–and the more people contribute, the more we’ll try to add special events, games, and performances as a thank-you. We feel this is the best tribute to Isaac that we can make–that we try to help him, and that we try to show you a fantastic time in his name!
